Abstract


Abstract:  The purpose of this study was to study the level of critical thinking skills of students’ in the school. The subjects of this study was SMAN 3 Wajo in class X MIPA IT consisting of 28 students. The type of research used is survey research. The research instruments used were questionnaire responses for teachers and participants, and questionnaires filled out by observers who were declared validand  reliable. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics analysis. The result showed that the critical thinking ability of participants was still lacking because it was seen from each aspect in the low category. This is related to the use of student worksheets (LKPD) in the learning process in not optimal because it is necessary to develop LKPD an appopriate learning model to train students in LKPD teaching problem based learning model that can help teachers and students in the teaching and learning activities.  Keywords: critical thingking skills, biology.
