Abstract

Abstract: Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on science process skills was developed with the background of a lack of learning tools in the form of LKPD which trains students to carry out scientific processes, analyze and find concepts. This product development aims to produce LKPD products based on science process skills that are valid, practical and effective. This research is a Research & Development (R & D) research, which adapts the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely: (1) Analysis; (2) Design; (3) Development; (4) Implementation; (5) Evaluation. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 05 Makassar which previously carried out the analysis phase to find out the conditions, needs and constraints that occurred by students and teachers in the learning process. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews and questionnaires. Product evaluation is carried out by two expert validators. The subjects in this study were eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 05 Makassar. Based on the results of observations and interviews, an LKPD is needed that is able to facilitate students to conduct investigations and play an active role in the learning process so that it can improve students' scientific work. The intended science process skills are observing, predicting, classifying, communicating and drawing conclusions. Based on research conducted by Arafah et al (2012), that LKPD can improve student performance. Whereas in the study of Sugianto (2013), using LKPD based on science process skills in addition to training students in finding and discovering their knowledge through scientific performance also had an impact on the achievement of student learning outcomes. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that by developing LKPD based on process skills that are valid, practical and effective can train and develop critical thinking skills, build understanding of scientific concepts and decision making and problem solving.
