Abstract
Abstract. This research is a Classroom Action Research consisting of two cycles. This study aims to know the planning, process and results of learning using the Think Pair Share type cooperative learning model in improving German reading skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Makassar. The research data consisted of qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data was obtained through observation and quantitative data was obtained through the test results of students' German reading ability in cycle I and II. The data were analyzed using percentage technique. The results showed that the average score obtained by students in cycle I reached 67.4% and cycle II reached 80.9%. These results show that the use of Think Pair Share type learning model improve the German reading ability of students of class XI SMA Negeri 3 Makassar.
