ANALYSIS OF THE ARTISTIC QUALITY OF WOOD ART

Abstract

This research is a type of content analysis research that aims to describe the results of analysis of the artistic quality of wood craft art by students of class XII MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 5 Jeneponto. The data collection technique is carried out through observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The target in this study was 10 works that were the work of a group of 35 students. Based on the results of the assessment by the cultural arts teacher, it shows that the quality of the work of students of class XII MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 5 Jeneponto is reviewed from the aspects of unity, composition, creativity, and technique belonging to the good category. This is indicated by the acquisition of a value with an average of 80.
