Abstract


Spiritual leadership and compensation are two important factors that influence the psychological well-being of Islamic boarding school educators. The aim of this research is to determine the impact of spiritual leadership and compensation on the psychological well-being of Makassar Islamic boarding school teaching staff. The research method used was quantitative and the research sample consisted of 91 Islamic boarding school teachers in Makassar. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study show that there is a significant influence between spiritual leadership and compensation on psychological well-being with a value (r = 0.476 p). This means that the higher the spiritual leadership and compensation, the higher the psychological well-being of Islamic boarding school teaching staff, and vice versa. The contribution of spiritual leadership and compensation to psychological well-being is 22.7%. This study has practical implications for Islamic boarding school leaders and educational policies to consider the application of spiritual leadership and the development of a balanced reward system to improve the psychological well-being of teaching staff.
