Abstract


Research studies on student engagement are very important to do because students who have good engagement can optimize their experiences in maximizing learning outcomes and encouraging students at school and improving the school's image. This study aims to determine the effect of peer support on student involvement with school welfare as a mediator variable. The research design used correlational quantitative involving 384 high school students in Jombang Regency. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. There are three instruments used in this study, namely the School Engagement Measure (SEM), the Peer Support Questionnare (PSQ), and the School Well-being Scale. Data were analyzed by path analysis test and using the Sobel test to see the direct and indirect effects of peer support variables on student involvement. the results of the study show that peer support has a direct and indirect effect on student engagement. however, the greatest influence is through indirect influence with school well-being as a variable mediator.
