Abstract


This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and socioeconomic status with college student subjective well-being. The design of this study is a quantitative study conducted on 420 students in semesters 4 to 8 in Bandar Lampung. The data collection technique in this study was measuring college student subjective well-being using the College Student Subjective Well- being Questionary scale from Renshaw & Bolognino (2016) and measuring social support using the Multidimensional Scale Of Percieved Social Support scale from Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet & Farley (1998) and measurement of socioeconomic status using subject demographic data. Test the hypothesis of this study using multiple regression analysis. The result of this study is that there is a relationship between social support and socioeconomic status with college student subjective well-being where social support is the main predictor in relation to college student subjective well-being. Social support and socioeconomic status together provide an effective contribution of 19.1% to college student subjective well-being.
