Abstract


This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of pet attachment on the psychological well being of cat owners. This research was conducted by filling out a questionnaire via Google Form with a total of 100 respondents who are followers of the @yourpetsfess Twitter autobase and who were selected through a purposive sampling method based on several predetermined characteristics. The analysis technique used in this study is a simple linear regression test. The results of the analysis using a simple linear regression test obtained a significance value of 0.015 p<0.05, meaning that pet attachment has an influence on psychological well being. In this case, pet attachment contributes as much as 5.8% to psychological well-being. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of pet attachment on the psychological well being of cat owners.
