Abstract


Work motivation has an impact on the performance of student institution administrators. This study aims to determine the description of the work motivation of the management of student institutions at Makassar State University. This study uses quantitative methods with descriptive analysis. The data collection technique used a work motivation scale with a research subject of 250 student institution administrators who were selected through a stratified-cluster sampling technique, with the criteria of respondents being active students and actively involved in student institutions. The results showed that the description of the work motivation of the student body administrators was in the moderate category with 191 people (76%). The factors that most influence work motivation is working conditions (57%), quality of leadership, co-workers and responsibilities. The results of this study can be used as a basis for increasing the work motivation of the administrators of student institutions at the Makassar State University.
