Abstract


This study aims to see the relationship between student engagement and academic achievement in students at the psychology faculty of Makassar State University. The research method used is the correlational quantitative method with the number of subjects as many as 97 students who have a GPA below 2.75. The data analysis technique used is Spearman Rank Correlation analysis. The results of the study show that there is a relationship between student engagement and student academic achievement p = 0.030 and r = 0.220. This means that there is a significant relationship between student engagement and academic achievement in students at the psychology faculty of Makassar State University. The results of this study are expected to increase knowledge about the importance of having student engagement behavior in the learning process in order to get satisfactory academic achievement.
