Abstract


College student experience decreased in working group assignments compare to individul assignment. They expect the other member of group to finish assignment well. Aim of this study is knowing correlation between motive and social loafing in collage student. Subject of this study is 396 collager in total. The sampling technique in this reserch used simple random sampling. The method of this reserch is quantitative methode using the gauge of the scale of motive and scale of social loafing. The data analysis technique using Pearson Corelation. Based on the result of data analysis the value of the correlation coefficient of (r) is –0,653 and significance (p) is 0,000 < 0,01. The result show that there is negative correlation between motive and social loaving in collage student. High level of motiv give impact low level of social loafing. The study provide an overview of motiv and social loaving college student.
