Abstract


Students in Makassar City have a unique pattern of interaction in a relationship, one of which is the benefit (FWB) which is considered a friend or friend without any status such as dating with the aim of fulfilling sexual needs. The research aims to identify the description of behavior, The factor that supports the individual initiates Friends with benefit and the inhibiting of the romantic relationship. The study method used in this study utilizesa qualitative case study approach. The participants involved amounts to 2 students. Providing the data collection technique through observation and interview. Also, the data analysis techniques organize creating data reductions, data model and making conclusión. The data verification technique uses member checking. Results indicate that individuals commit a friend with benefit relationship on the basis of mutual love which is based on sexual satisfaction that can be done instantly regularly. An encouraging factor of FWB is physical attraction, a sense of comfort, and no relationship bonds. The obstacle factor of a relationship already has tied to someone else, curiosity is fulfilled and fear of disappointing families. Study results can be information for students in order to recognize the pattern of a relationship.
