Abstract
New divorce women experience deep sadness, social pressure and even social gaps, so women after divorce need more positive change in life in order to be able to rise against adversity after divorce to continue life to. The purpose of this study is to determine the causes of divorce and post traumatic growth in post divorced women. This research is descriptive qualitative research using phenomenological methods. Respondents in this study are 3 people who meet the age criteria of 35-45 years. Data is obtained by conducting conducting direct interviews. The results of this study indicate that the causes of divorce are several factors, namely the husband does not provide for his wife and children, domestic violence and infidelity. The description of post traumatic growth experience by women after a divorce in form of positive changes, namely, more independent and strong life, more meaningful life, change in priorities, respect for forms of social relations and spiritual improvement. Thus, the concept of post traumatic growth based on research results can be a reference for post divorced women in order to be able to rise against adversity.
