Abstract


Abstract.The results of this study indicate that the internal conditions for the development of organic tomato farming in Soritatanga Village, Pekat District, Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, namely the availability of organic tomato farming development areas, mastery of cultivation techniques, and weak farmer capital. External conditions of organic tomato farming include a lot of market demand and an easy marketing system, high production facilities and many competitors. Alternative strategies for developing organic tomato farming in Soritatanga Village, Pekat District, Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province in minimizing threats, namely by utilizing strengths and opportunities such as maximum land use by applying appropriate technology, establishing cooperation between farmers, local government traders, implementing Simultaneous planting in order to avoid OPT attacks and increase farmer empowerment by participating in training and counseling. Development of organic tomato farming in Soritatanga Village, Pekat District, Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, based on internal and external conditions, the alternative used is to implement a strategy of strength-opportunities (S-0), namely by utilizing land optimally and applying efficient technology, establishing work the same between farmers, local government traders, planting simultaneously to avoid OPT attacks besides that the government's role is an alternative in the development of organic tomato farming as a facilitator for farmers in the supply of seeds and their production needs.
