Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials based on Visual Basic software for grade XI students. The ADDIE development model was used for this research (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research subjects were students of grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Pangkep. The research product was a matrix module with Visual Basic syntax that was used to teach the topic. The results of the module trial's find are the following; (1) validity, as evidenced by the outcomes of the module and research instrument validations, both of which were deemed very valid, (2) practicality, seen from all aspects of the module implementation observation sheet, teacher response questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. The teacher and student response questionnaires were both rated as extremely positive. Observation of the module implementation is categorized as practical, (3) effectiveness, student activity sheets, and learning outcomes tests demonstrate effectiveness. Observing student activities yielded very positive findings, and the learning outcome test revealed that the percentage of completeness was successful. As a result, the construction of teaching materials based on Visual Basic software matrix materials met the validity, practicality, and effectiveness criteria.
