Abstract

This study is a quantitative research experimental setting that aims to determine whether the CORE Learning Model and ICORE Learning Model, and Student Learning Independence affect the Mathematics Learning Outcomes of State Junior High School Students in Barru Regency. The population in this study were all public junior high schools in Barru Regency (study of class VII students). The determination of the research sample was carried out using the random cluster sampling method. The selected samples were two public schools in the Barru district, namely SMP Negeri 2 Barru and SMP Negeri 1 Tanete Rilau, with a total of 30 students in class VII each. The learning models referred to in this study are CORE Learning. Model (Connecting, Organizing, Reflection and Extending) and the ICARE Learning Model (Introduction, Connection, Application, Reflection, and Extension), while the Learning Independence in question is High Learning Independence and Low Learning Independence. The instruments used are Learning Independence Questionnaire and Mathematics Learning Outcomes Test. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using analysis of covariance (ANACOVA). The study results show an effect of the interaction between the Learning Model and the Learning Independence Questionnaire on Mathematics Learning Outcomes.
