Abstract


The study aims at discovering (i) the learning process of IP'S of class IV at SDN Gunung Sari II before implementing the cooperative learning model of NHT type, (ii) the effectiveness of the implementation of the cooperative learning model of NHT type in IPS learning process, (iii) the student's responses on the implementation of cooperative learning model of NHT type conducted in IPS learning, and (iv) the enhancement of students' learning outcomes after implementing cooperative learning model of NHT type in IPS learning in class IV. The study is a classroom action research. The study's results reveal that (i) the learning outcomes of IPS in class IV at SDN Gunung Sari II after implementing the cooperative learning model of NHT type indicate improvement, where in cycle I, the learning mastery achieved 77,27%, and cycle II achieved 95,83 %. Based on the result, the enhancement of students' learning outcomes is 18,56 %, and (ii) the implementation of the cooperative learning model of NHT type can enhance learning outcomes in IPS of class IV students at SDN Gunung Sari II in Makassar.
