Abstract

The Moringa plant (Moringa oleifera Lamk) belongs to the Moringaceae family, which has many benefits. Besides being processed into vegetables, the leaves of M. oleifera Lamk. used by the community as an anti-fungal by rubbing it into the skin. The methods used include extraction (Maceration), phytochemical test, and extract bioactivity test with Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BLST) against Artemia salina. The results of the phytochemical test revealed the methanol extract of M.oleifera Lamk stems. Positively, it contains flavonoid and alkaloid compounds. Meanwhile, from the toxicity test results using the Brine shrimp lethality test method, the activity of the M. oleifera Lamk stem methanol extract was obtained with an LC50 value of 922.57 ppm.
