Abstract


Abstract. This study discusses job opportunities for people with disabilities in the business and industrial world in the city of Makassar. The objectives of this research are: a. to determine the level of understanding of the company about work rights for people with disabilities, b. to get an overview of the company’s readiness to recruit employees with disabilities next year, c. to find out the readiness of cooperation with vocational education for disabled people. Data collection techniques used were document analysis, interviews, and questionnaires. The subjects in this study were DUDI (services, retail, cafes/restaurants). This study used a descriptive qualitative method. The data obtained were analyzed inductively along with the data collection process and data triangulation was carried out. The results of the study concluded that DUDI employment opportunities for people with disabilities in the city of Makassar did not comply with applicable laws and regulations, namely Law No. 8 of 2016 and Law No. 13 of 2013..
