Abstract


Abstract. This study aims to: (1) find and describe the form of moral values contained in the Kappalak Tallumbatua Sinrilik Text, (2) find and describe the manifestation of cultural values in the Kappalak Tallumbatua Sinrilik Text, (3) the relevance of the moral and cultural values of the Kappalak Tallumbatua Sinrilik Text to High School Student Character Education. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The research object is the moral and cultural values contained in the Sinrilik Kappalak Tallumbatua text and their relevance to character education for high school students. Data collection in this study was reading techniques and note taking techniques. This research was conducted by reading, identifying, classifying, analyzing, and drawing conclusions in the Sinrilik Kappalak Tallumbatua. The results showed: (1) The form of moral values has three types, namely the first moral value in the human relationship to God has the form of submission value, the second, the form of moral value in human relations with oneself has the form of moral values of patience, persistence of stance, leadership. , optimistic, wisdom, pessimistic (lack of self-confidence), and the manifestation of moral values in human relations with other humans is parental advice to children, advice between friends, parental love for children, children's love for parents, caring for others, friendship, deliberation, and regret. (2) The manifestation of Cultural values includes; (1) cultural values in human relations with oneself, including values: maintaining self-purity and being calm, (2) cultural values in human relations with others, including values: help, fair, forgiveness, and tolerance, (3) cultural values in relation to nature include loving nature, and (4) cultural values in relationship with God, including values: faith and piety, sincerity, repentance; (3) Various moral and cultural values contained in the Sinrilik Kappalak text Tallumbatua are considered very relevant to character education for high school students. The 18 pillars of character in character education in high school are mostly depicted in the Sinrilik Kappalak text of Tallumbatua, including religious characters, tolerance, hard work, democracy, national spirit, love of the homeland, friendly / communicative, love peace, care for the environment, care for social, responsibility answer.
