Development of Promotional Video for Student Creativity Program within Makassar State University

Abstract


Abstract. The research method used is descriptive qualitative documentary approach, which is produced using found footage. Various documentation archives, including photos, videos, and other supporting documents, became material in the production of the UNM PKM Promotion video. The compilation of data starts from the process of collecting, verification, analysis to drawing conclusions. This research is a descriptive qualitative type, where the findings obtained are presented in written form and do not display numerical calculations. The description of the research method includes; The research approach, data sources and data collection techniques, data validity, analysis techniques and research flowcharts. The results of this study are published on the YouTube platform, which is the most popular video sharing site today because it can be accessed anytime and anywhere. The existence of PKM promotional videos can be a supporting medium to socialize PKM to all UNM students. The results obtained showed that 87.3% of UNM students easily understood information about PKM through promotional videos made, 77.5% stated that audio-visual media was the most appropriate to promote PKM, 83.3% stated that the length of the video duration was right to explain PKM material, and 94.1% stated that the video presentation was interesting. Suggestions for further video development will be packaged more efficiently by considering the presentation of material in accordance with the target students' targets.
