Abstract


Abstract. This research is a quasi-experimental research which objective is to determine whether there is an effect of the use of the Story Cube Game on the learning achievement of the sixth grade students' narrative writing skills at SDN 161 Pinrang. The independent variable in this study is the Story Cube Game media, while the dependent variable is the learning achievement of students' narrative essay writing skills. The population in this study were all students of SDN 161 Pinrang as many as 476 Students, while the sample was class VI.A as the experimental class with 35 students and class VI.B as the control class with 35 students. The data collection with giving a test of learning achievement on essay writing material in the form of pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique is the Independent Sample T-test. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis, it was found that P = 0.003 was smaller than a = 0.05. It can be concluded that the use of the Story Cube has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of the VI grade students of SDN 161 Pinrang on writing narrative essay skills.
