Abstract


Abstract. This study aims to determine the process and learning outcome  the application of the Realistic Mathematic Education approach in improving students learning outcomes about the volume of cubes and blocks. This research approach is a qualitative research approach with the research type is classroom action. The focus of this research is focus of the process and focus of student learning outcomes. This research was conducted at UPT SDN 187 Pinrang with the subject  are the teachers and the fifth grade students of UPT SDN 187 Pinrang on the academic year 2020/2021, totaling 23 people, including 13 male students and 10 female students. The procedures and the research design used are planning, action, observation and reflection. From the implementation, data were collected by using observation techniques, learning outcomes tests and documentation. Furthermore, the data are analyzed and processed by qualitatively. The discussion of this study is every cycle is a reflection of all the findings that yet there are lacking in the learning process both on the student observation sheet and the teacher's observation sheet. The data collecting techniques used are observation, tests and documentation. The results of this study shows that by implement the Realistic Mathematic Education approach could improve the process and learning outcomes of mathematics in grade V students of UPT SDN 187 Pinrang.
