Meningkatkan Partisipasi Siswa Kelas X1 SMAN 3 Sungguminasa Melalui Penerapan Pembelajaran Penemuan Terbimbing pada Materi Pokok Senyawa Hidrokarbon

Abstract

Penelitian  tindakan  kelas ini bertujuan menemukan cara penerapan metode pembelajaran penemuan  terbimbing  untuk meningkatkan  aktivitas  siswa kelas X.1 SMAN  3 Sungguminasa pada materi  pokok senyawa  hidrokarbon tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Dari 32 orang siswa yang ikut tes hasil belajar diperoleh ketuntasan dan rata-rata nilai pada masing-masing siklus yaitu pada siklus I, 65,63%  (72,44) dan pada siklus II 81,25% (75,53). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa secara umum penguasaan siswa terhadap materi cukup baik karena mendekati standar  nasional yang telah ditetapkan sekolah yaitu 85%. Untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X1 SMAN 3 Sungguminasa  dengan metode penemuan terbimbing dilakukan dengan cara: 1) guru menyajikan masalah untuk ditemukan sendiri oleh siswa dalam bentuk LKS, 2) siswa mengerjakan soal latihan dari LKS di papan tulis, 3)guru mengarahkan siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal latihan, 4) guru  mengarahkan siswa dalam menemukan jawaban dari soal latihan yang kurang dipahami oleh siswa, 5)  guru mengaktifkan siswa ke dalam tujuh kelompok kecil (4-5 orang), 6) memberikan kesempatan kepada setiap kelompok untuk mengerjakan soal LKS bersama teman kelompoknya kemudian kelompok lain menanggapi jawaban temannya dan guru memberikan soal-soal untuk mengecek pemahaman siswa terhadap yang telah ditemukannya.

ABSTRACT

This study is classroom action research that aimed to find out the way of the implementing the guided discovery learning method in order to increase the student activities of Class X.1 SMAN 3 Sungguminasa on the main subject of hydrocarbons in second semester of academic year 2011/2012. The distribution shows that from 32 students who took in first cycle test, there are 65.63% students of completeness study with average gained 72.44 and on the second cycle there are 81.25%  students completness with average acquired 75.53. It shows in general student’s mastery of the material well enough to see the percentage of students nearing mastery of national standards that have been established in schools, 85%,.  The conclusion is the ways in which to improve student learning outcomes class X1 SMAN 3 Sungguminasa through the use of guided discovery method is by 1) the teacher presents the problem to be discovered by the students in the form of worksheets, 2) students working on exercises of LKS on the board, 3 ) teachers lead students who have difficulty in solving practice questions, 4) teachers lead students in finding answers to practice questions that are poorly understood by students, 5) teachers turn students into seven small groups (4-5 people), 6) gives opportunity for each group to work on the problems worksheets with friends group then another group respond and the teacher gives his answers questions to check student’s understanding of what has been discovered.
