Karakterisasi Komponen Minor Feromon Agregat Kumbang Hama Kelapa Rhynchophorus ferrugineus Jantan

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk karakterisasi komponen minor feromon agregat dari kumbang hama kelapa Rhynchophorus ferrugineus jantan. Feromon agregat diekstrak dari bagian protoraks kumbang jantan menggunakan pelarut n-heksana. Pemisahan komponen feromon dilakukan dengan proses hidrolisis menggunakan larutan NaOH 1 N yang diikuti dengan KLT menggunakan eluen n-heksana : dietil eter (6 : 4). Keberadaan feromon dalam ekstrak dan isolat didasarkan pada uji aktifitasnya dengan olfaktometer. Hasil uji aktifitas menunjukkan bahwa komponen feromon agregat terdapat pada isolate dengan Rf 0,77 dan 0,87, sedangkan berdasarkan hasil analisis GC-MS dan FT-IR diketahui bahwa komponen minor feromon agregat kumbang hama kelapa R.ferrugineus jantan terdapat pada isolat dengan Rf 0,87 dan mengandung senyawa 4-metil-5-nonanon.

ABSTRACT

The characterization of minor component of aggregation pheromone of male coconut weevil Rhynchophorus ferrugineus has been carried out. Aggregation pheromone was extracted from the weevil prothorax using n-hexane solvent. The separation of pheromone components was doing by hydrolysis process using NaOH 1 N and was followed by Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) using n-hexane : diethyl ether (6 : 4) as eluent. The presence of pheromone in extract and isolates were based on the activity test using olfactometer.The result of activity test showed that the components of aggregation pheromone were found in isolates with Rf 0,77 and 0,87 ; and according to GC-MS and FT-IR analysis, the minor component of aggregation pheromone of male coconut weevil R. ferrugineus was found in isolate with Rf 0,87 and contained 4-methyl-5-nonanone compound.
