Pengaruh Penambahan Sorbitol Pada Kitosan Terikat Silang Sebagai Bahan Plester Luka

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Kitosan merupakan salah satu polimer yang cukup banyak diteliti sebagai plester luka sekaligus media penghantaran obat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan fleksibilitas plester luka dengan penambahan sorbitol pada kitosan. Pembuatan plester luka dilakukan dengan cara menambahkan larutan glutaraldehid 1% perbandingan 50 : 3 (v/v) kemudian ditambahkan sorbitol 2% dengan variasi volume  1–5mL yang dipanaskan pada suhu 60oC. Karakteristik plester luka melalui uji ketebalan, uji tarik, uji kapasitas retensi air, uji pelipatan dan laju transmisi uap air. Hasil karakterisasi plester luka yang diperoleh memiliki nilai ketebalan kisaran 0,2 – 0,3 mm, nilai uji tarik kisaran 1,4363 –  4,2445 MPa, nilai kapasitas retensi air kisaran 68,33 - 115%, uji pelipatan kisaran 298 - >300 kali, dan laju transmisi uap air kisaran 785,750– 858,000 g/m2. Berdasarkan hasil karakteristik dapat disimpulkan bahwa plester luka yang ideal ditunjukan penambahan sorbitol 3mL, 4mL dan 5 mL.

ABSTRACT

Chitosan is one of the polymers that is quite widely studied as a wound plaster as well as a drug delivery medium. This study aimed to find out characteristic and flexibility wound plasters with the addition of sorbitol in chitosan. Making wound plaster is carried out by adding a 1% glutaraldehyde solution in a ratio of 50: 3 (v / v) then adding 2% sorbitol with a volume variation of 1–5mL heated at a temperature of 60oC. Wound plaster characteristics through thickness test, tensile test, water retention capacity test, folding test and water vapor transmission rate. The result of the characterization of the wound plaster study have a thickness value of 0.2 – 0.3 mm, tensile test value range 1.4363 – 4.2445 MPa, water retention capacity value range 68.33 - 115%, test folding range 298 - >300 times, and water vapor transmission rate range 785,750 – 858,000 g / m2. Based on the results of the characteristics it can be concluded that the ideal wound plaster is indicated by the addition of 3 mL, 4 mL and 5 mL sorbitol.
