Abstract


Community service About Papaya Processed Innovation (Abon Pepaya) To Increase Community Income In Pa'rappunganta Village, Polombangkeng Selatan District, Takalar Regency, Papaya is one of the most widely cultivated plants in the village. This activity was carried out to improve the knowledge and skills of the people in Enrekang Regency in processing papaya into a product that has economic value, namely shredded papaya. Papaya is a plant that comes from Southern Mexico and South America, is now widespread and widely grown throughout the tropics. This activity was carried out in stages, namely the presentation of the material, the practice of processing papaya fruit into shreds, reflection and evaluation of activities. The results showed that the community was able to process papaya into a shredded papaya product, as well as produce products that had been packaged with labels. This activity also received a very good response from the community. The results of this activity are expected to be developed into a home-based business to increase the income of rural communities, especially housewives in Pa'rappunganta Village, South Polombangkeng District, Takalar Regency.
