Abstract
The review of the article is to describe the structural approach in disaster mitigation to the implementation of disaster management. The method of literature study is used in the review of articles. The collection technique is secondary data which is then carried out data review of books, literature, notes, and various reports related to the problem is studied through reading and recording and processing study materials, then analyzed through the stages of recording important and relevant parts, compiled and analyzed and then concluded. The results of the study found that mitigation in the structural approach taken by the government, to minimize vulnerability to natural disasters because strong technical engineering of development against disasters can reduce disaster risk. Implementation The Government of Indonesia has implemented several efforts in implementing structural mitigation in disaster management such as, Construction of Earthquake Resistant Buildings, Construction of Tsunami Evacuation Routes, Sustainable Urban Spatial Planning, and many more. For this reason, the mitigation stage is carried out before the disaster and emergency response by providing a quick response, and then in the post-disaster stage is to guide the recovery process.
