Abstract

Honorary employees are employees who have low job satisfaction compared to permanent employees. This is due to the employee's assessment of salary, workload and benefits which are considered inappropriate. Subjective well-being is a factor that can influence the assessment of job satisfaction for honorary employees. The research aims to determine the relation between Subjective Well-Being (SWB) and job satisfaction. Respondents (N = 40) are nonpermanent employees of the Makassar City office agency X with a minimum length of work of 1 year. This research uses quantitative methods. Data collection uses three instruments, Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS), Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) and Positive Affect and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS). Data analysis techniques were performed using Pearson Product Moment. The results of this study obtained a value of r = 0.312, p = 0.046 indicate that there is a positive relationship between SWB and job satisfaction among honorary employees.
