The Effect of Intrinsic Work Values and Career Self-Efficacy on Career Maturity in Final Grade Students

Abstract


Career maturity is career development tasks that needs to be achieved by final-year students as they will undergo a transition into the world of work. However, the reality is that open unemployment in Indonesia is dominated by educated unemployment. This is partly due to the weakness of student career planning. This shows career maturity that has not been achieved.  This study aims to determine the effect of intrinsic work values and career self-efficacy on career maturity in final year students. This research used quantitative methods of multiple  regression analysis with a total of 252 respondents. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. The measuring instrument used a scale that is relevant to the three variables to be measured. The results of hypothesis show that there is no positive effect of intrinsic work values  on career maturity, but has a weak negative correlation. The second hypothesis show that there  is a positive effect of career self-efficacy on career maturity. The third hypothesis also found that there is no simultaneous effect of intrinsic work values and career self-efficacy on career maturity.
