Abstract


Policewomen officers who are already married carry out two roles, in work and in the household. The imbalance between work and family will have a negative impact so social support is important for policewomen officers to achieve a work-family balance. This study aimed to determine the effect of social support on a work-family balance among policewomen officers who were married. Respondents in this study were policewomen officers who were married, had children, and worked in the South Sulawesi regional police with a total of 82 people. Data collection techniques in this study used the scale of work- family balance and social support. The results of simple regression analysis show that there is a positive effect of social support on work-family balance with a significance value of 0.006, p < 0.05. This research contributes to policewomen officers continuing to utilize social support to achieve work-family balance.
