Application of Reality Counseling to Improve Academic Self-Efficacy of High School Students in Enrekang District

Abstract


This research aim to find out 1) An overview of student’s academic self-efficacy at SMA Negeri 2 Enrekang, 2) An overview of the application of the reality counseling to improve student’s academic self-efficacy at SMA Negeri 2 Enrekang, 3) How the application of the reality counseling can improve student’s academic self efficacy at SMA Negeri 2 Enrekang. This research used a quantitative approach with true experimental design, and used randomized pretest posttest control groud design. The population in this research was 24 students who were identified to have a low academic self efficacy, and 20 students as sample were taken using saturation sampling were then divided into experimental and control group with 10 student of each. Data collection used a questionnaires form instruments of self-efficacy and observasi guidelines. Data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis which is normality data test, homogeneity data test and t-test.
