Abstract

Factually, Indonesia is a nation that has a multifaceted face in all its aspects, both from ethnicity, religion, race, and customs. If all these differences are addressed and managed properly, they will be transformed into noble values for the Indonesian people. This paper seeks to elaborate on the role of the majority religions in this country in realizing harmony within the nation and state. This paper applies literature research in the dimension of historical science. The method used is the historical method, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of the study show that in the dynamics of the Indonesian Nation's journey, the government and the community have carried out interfaith dialogue framed in the Forum for Religious Harmony (FKUB). This institution has an important role in fostering inter-religious harmony for the sake of harmony among fellow citizens.
