The influence of self-concept on the career maturity of students in vocational high schools in Sidrap Regency

Abstract


Self-concept for adolescents plays a role so that adolescents can adapt to their environment, so that they can be accepted by their environment. Adolescents who have a positive self-concept will have clear goals and aspirations for their future. They will also have a high zest for life and fighting spirit to achieve their goals. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of students' self-concept on the career maturity of students at SMK Negeri 1 Sidrap. This type of research is Ex Post Facto with a quantitative approach. Samples were taken using the Slovin formula with a random sampling technique totaling 100 students. The analysis uses descriptive statistical analysis to describe students' self-concept and career maturity, and simple regression analysis. The results of the simple regression test show that there is an effect of self-concept on the career maturity of students at SMK Negeri 1 Sidrap with an f count of 52,508 and a significance of 0.000.
