Abstract


This study aims to determine the parenting and moral development of children at the Al-Mubarak Orphanage, Camba District. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of research used is a case study. The subjects of this study were caregivers and foster children at the Al-Mubarak Orphanage, Camba District, which consisted of 3 male caregivers and 3 female caregivers and 2 foster children aged 14 and 15 years. In the process of data collection is done by 3 methods, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The techniques used in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Triangulation is used to explain the validity of the data by using various sources and methods. The results of the research on Parenting and Moral Development of Children (Case Study at Al-Mubarak Orphanage, Camba District, Maros Regency), namely (1) The parenting pattern applied at the Al-Mubarak Orphanage in Camba District tends to use democratic parenting. (2) Moral development at the Al-Mubarak Orphanage, Camba District, is carried out by giving advice, familiarizing foster children with good habits and providing good examples for foster children. (3) The moral behavior of foster children at the Al-Mubarak Orphanage, Camba District, is disciplined, independent, polite, and able to position themselves in the community.
