Application of the Quizlet Application in Learning to Read the Lontara Script for Junior High School Students in Gowa Regency

Abstract


This study aims to describe the activities and learning outcomes of class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Bajeng, Gowa Regency, in reading lontar script through the application of the Quizlet application. The type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were all class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Bajeng, Gowa Regency, totaling 10 classes. Sampling was done by means of purposive sampling. Data collection techniques in this study used observation sheets of learning activities and tests. Based on the research results, it was obtained that the proportion of student learning activity data reading lontarak script through the application of the Quizlet application at meeting I was 84.17 (very active), meeting II was 87.52 (very active), meeting III was 90.23 (very active), and meeting IV 91.94 (very active). The learning outcomes of students reading lontarak script through the application of the Quizlet application are in the very good category of 22 students (73.34%), in the good category of 8 students (26.66%), 0 students (0%) is sufficient, and in the good category less 0 students (0%). The results showed that the application of the Quizlet application in learning to read lontarak script for class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Bajeng, Gowa Regency, obtained very active learning activities and very good learning outcomes.
