The Effect of Teacher Pedagogic Competence and Parental Support on Learning Motivation of Vocational High School Students

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the description of the teacher's pedagogic competence, parental support, and student learning motivation, (2) The effect of teacher pedagogic competence on student learning motivation, (3) The effect of parental support on student learning motivation. And (4) the effect of teacher pedagogic competence and parental support on students' learning motivation at SMK Negeri 6 Bone. The results of the descriptive research found that the description of the teacher's pedagogic competence was in the medium category, parental support was in the medium category, and students' learning motivation was in the medium category. The data analysis technique used was multiple regression. It was found that (1) there was a significant effect of teacher pedagogical competence on the learning motivation of TKJ students at SMK Negeri 6 Bone, and (2) There was a significant effect of parental support on the learning motivation of TKJ students at SMK Negeri 6 Bone, (3 ) There is a significant effect of teacher pedagogic competence and parental support on the learning motivation of TKJ students at SMK Negeri 6 Bone.
