Abstract

Leadership is ability possessed by every human being to be a driver in achieving common goals in an organization. Within the scope of UNM, the number of women is directly proportional to the number of organizational administrators, but not the number of women who become leaders. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data obtained through interviews with 21 informants were divided into 3 types, namely key informants, expert informants, and additional informants. Furthermore, the data collected were analyzed using the source triangulation method. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the leadership of men and women, to determine the perceptions of UNM students related to women's leadership, and to find out the problems experienced by women in becoming the perceptions of UNM students within the scope of organizations within the scope of UNM. The results showed that the perceptions of UNM students regarding the differences in leadership between men and women actually made no difference because each had their own characteristics and similarities, women were considered to have the potential and capacity as leaders plus an adequate quantity, and the problems experienced by women leaders were still received negative views from students, dual roles and still dominated by male leaders which was then referred to as the glass ceiling phenomenon.
