The Tradition of Reading Barzanji Among Bugis Communities in Wajo District, South Sulawesi

Abstract


This research examines the barazanji tradition as an activity and process in the life of the bugis people. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research method. barazanji book clubs are important for maintaining the socio-cultural life cycle of the community. The barazanji ceremony is an addition to traditional ceremonies and harvest festivals. Such as Menre Aji (pilgrimage), Akikah, weddings, new cars, and others. It aims to analyze and explain the implementation of the values contained in the mabarazanji tradition in terms of its meaning and imitation. This tradition is based on part of the culture that must be fostered and preserved, because the greatness of the country is reflected in its culture. Traditions naturally change over time. but also boosts its economy. As for the traditions that exist in the Bugis community, This completes the explanation of the values inherent in the Mabarasanji Temple tradition. The Truth of Islam as Universal Religion.
