Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) Description of media needs (Empathy Guide E-Book) to reduce phubbing behavior in students, (2) EPATI media prototype (Empathy Guide E-Book) to reduce phubbing behavior in students, (3) The level of validity and practicality of the EPATI media (Empathy Guide E-Book) to reduce phubbing behavior in students. The results showed that (1) 86% of students who filled out the questionnaire experienced phubbing behavior tendencies and media such as EPATI (Empathy Guide E-Book) were needed to support the implementation of services related to phubbing behavior of students in schools, (2) EPATI media prototype consisted of of 5 main displays, namely initial/cover display, table of contents, content related to phubbing, empathy and techniques used to reduce phubbing behavior, video display and evaluation sheet display, (3) Level of validity and practicality of EPATI media (E-Book Guide Empathy) after going through the validity test.
