Factors Affecting Organizational Commitment in Employees: A Case Study of PT. Hadji Kalla Toyota Cokroaminoto Branch

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to ascertain how personal, organizational, and non-organizational factors affect the organization's commitment to its employees at the PT Hadji Kalla Toyota Cokroaminoto Branch. In this study, there are 4 variables, 3 independent variables and 1 dependent variable. There are 65 employees in all. A questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability testing was used to collect the data. With the aid of IBM SPSS 24 data processing, multiple linear regression analysis was carried out using two approaches, simultaneous test (F) and partial test (T). The findings of this study show that: 1) Personal factors partially influence organizational commitment based on the partial test results that the personal factor variable (X1) on organizational commitment has a value of tcount > ttable, that is, 2.113 > 1.999 with a significance value of 0.039 0.05. 2) The findings of the t-test, which have a value of tcount > ttable, or 4.061 > 1.999, with a significant value of 0.000 0.05, demonstrate a partial influence between organizational elements on organizational commitment. 3) The findings of the t-test with a value of tcount > ttable, that is, 2.433 > 1.999, and a significant value of 0.018 0.05 indicate that there is a partial effect of non-organizational elements on organizational commitment. 4) Organizational commitment is simultaneously influenced by personal, organizational, and non-organizational elements, with a research significance value of 0.000 to 0.05.
