Exploring English Teachers’ Professional Knowledge Through Sekolah Penggerak Curriculum

Abstract


This research was aimed to find out how teachers’ professional knowledge through Sekolah Penggerak Curriculum and how they implementing the curriculum in the learning teaching process, what are the benefits of Sekolah Penggerak Curriculum and what are the problems faced by English teacher in implementing Sekolah Penggerak Curriculum. This research applied quantitative qualitative method. The results of this research showed that teacher A showed 87% in Excellent category, Teacher B showed 78% in good category and teacher C 72% in good category. Based on the result we can conclude that the three English teachers were actively applied and aware of implementing the latest curriculum and the English teacher capable in the professional knowledge in learning teaching process especially in seventh grade. The benefit of Sekolah Penggerak Curriculum according to English teacher were flexibility in teaching according to the stage and the need of students, the problems faced by English teacher were the lack of understanding related to the administration of learning support about differentiated-based learning methods
