The Correlation Between School Partnership and the Business World/Industrial World in the Implementation of Practices (A Case Studies Program Installation Engineering Utilization of Electrical Power)

Abstract


This study aims to obtain an overview of the school's partnership relationship with DU/DI in the implementation of prakerin at SMKN 5 Majene. This study uses a qualitative method that is deductive in nature, but the data collected is qualitative data with a descriptive method. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis stage was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of this study indicate that the process of establishing a partnership relationship between SMKN 5 Majene and DU/DI in the implementation of prakerin begins with the school determining the partner industry that is in accordance with the expertise competencies in SMKN 5 Majene, then offering an MoU for the implementation of internship. The school's prakerin implementation plan forms a committee for the prakerin implementation program, empowering elements related to prakerin activities. The form of partnership that has been established is in the form of prakerin debriefing, skill competency exams, industrial visits and guest teachers. Prakerin implementation is based on the plans that have been made based on the MoU. The need for alternative development of partnership activities with DU/DI in the form of: curriculum development, school planning, procurement of practical tools, learning outside the classroom, debriefing prakerin from industry. It is necessary to evaluate the implementation of prakerin so that future internship activities can be even better.
