Pembenahan Dan Promosi Obyek Ekowisata Melalui KKN Reguler UNM Di Desa Paccekke Kabupaten Barru

Abstract

The lack of optimal management of the potential of ecotourism objects and the lack of significant increase in local tourist visits to ecotourism objects owned by Paccekke Village are problems that occur in the community and tourism service actors in Paccekke Tourism Village at this time which are urgent to find solutions. For this reason, this article aims to describe the improvement and promotion of ecotourism objects carried out by UNM Regular KKN students Batch 47 in Paccekke Village, as an initial solution to the broad scope of problems resulting from their field introduction observations.

The approach to this activity is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) and the Learning by Doing learning model. The activity method is carried out through lectures, and discussions through Focus Group Discussions (FGD). The stages of this activity are the Preparatory Stage, the Implementation Stage, and the Evaluation Stage.

The results of the activities carried out are, determining the location of self-photos and videos on ecotourism objects at the Paccekke Monument, in Embung Paccekke, in the Sitongkoe Stone Natural Bath. Furthermore, the installation of a plank directing ecotourism objects of the Sitongkoe Stone Natural Bath, and promoting photos and videos of ecotourism objects owned by the village through uploads to Instagram social media.  The appreciation was very good from the village community and the Village Government as can be seen from their enthusiasm for the presentation / broadcast of the activity report as well as the many thumbs up and answers of the meeting participants to the questions of KKN student presenters to the activity.
