Abstract


The training activity for making VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) using the main ingredients of pure coconut milk was motivated by the existence of a sciencepreneur work program by the Integrated KKN-PPL Force XXIII Makassar State University at SMPN 1 Bungoro. The results of the VCO that have been made will be used as a prolonged product that will be traded in the school environment after going through the trial phase. This activity was carried out by students of the Integrated KKN-PPL, Makassar State University, Batch XXIII. The making of this VCO uses filtration and deposition techniques by the main ingredient of pure coconut milk. The training activity was carried out for 2 days. The parameters of product success are seen from the comparison of theory with the results of organoleptic tests, namely through taste, aroma, and color. The resulting product is 7 bottles with a size of 100 ml each. Overall the product was declared successful. There are only a few factors that make the results unsuitable, including: 1) the color of the oil is not clear due to not peeling the coconut husk; 2) rancid smell because some of the coconuts were not fresh.
