Abstract


Abstract. An Experiment Starter Instruction Model Based on Materials in the Environment for Chemistry Science Instruction at Junior Secondary Schools. This research aims at developing an instruction model based on materials in the environment, instruction tools, and evaluation tools that enhance the students’ activity, creativity, reasoning, scientific attitude, and learning outcomes. This study employs research and development design of "Four-D Model." The first year study produced (1) the syntax of instruction model, and (2) the instruction tools. The validation result of the instruction model and tools indicates that the model and the tools are valid with validation percentage of 90.05% and 88.85% respectively.

Abstrak. Model Pembelajaran Starter Eksperimen Berbasis Bahan-Bahan di Lingkungan Sekitar dalam Pembelajaran IPA Kimia SMP. Penelitian betujuan menghasilkan model pembelajaran berbasis bahan-bahan di lingkungan sekitar, perangkat pembelajaran, dan alat evaluasi yang meningkatkan aktivitas, kreativitas, penalaran, sikap ilmiah, dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian pengembangan "Four-D Model. Hasil penelitian tahun pertama menghasilkan (1) sintaks model pembelajaran dan (2) perangkat pembelajaran hasil validasi model dan perangkat pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa model dan perangkat pembelajaran termasuk katagori valid dengan persentase validasi masing-masing adalah 90,05% dan 88,85%.
