Abstract


This research is research and development, which aims to produce a product in the form of a valid case study-based module on genetic material for class XII SMA. Case study-based modules are teaching materials that can be a more effective and interesting alternative to traditional textbooks. This method overcomes some of the weaknesses of conventional teaching materials, encourages active and creative learning, and helps students relate learning to their real lives. This research uses the ADDIE development model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, and evaluation. This research was conducted in June-August 2023 at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Makassar State University with the research subject being a team of experts/validators. The research instrument is a validation sheet. The results of data analysis showed that the module based on case studies on genetic material for class XII SMA met the validity criteria with an achievement level of 87% in the very valid category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the module based on case studies on genetic material for class XII high school meets the valid criteria.
