Abstract


This study aims to determine 1) The level of science process skills of students who are taught using a structured inquiry learning model assisted by KIT IPA props, 2) The level of science process skills of students who are taught using conventional learning models, 3) The improvement of science process skills of students who are taught using a structured inquiry learning model assisted by KIT IPA props, 4) The effect of structured inquiry learning model assisted by KIT IPA props on the science process skills of students in class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Makassar. This research is a Quasi Experimental Design research with a research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population is all students of class VIII SMPN 8 Makassar, school year 2022/2023 consisting of 11 classes with a total of 396 students, the sample was selected by purposive sampling, class VIII1 totaling 37 people as an experimental class and class VIII2 totaling 35 people as a control class. The results showed that: 1) The level of science process skills of students taught using a structured inquiry learning model assisted by KIT IPA props is in the medium category with a score of 12,78. 2) The level of science process skills of students taught using conventional learning models is in the medium category with a score of 10,22. 3) The increase in science process skills of students taught using a structured inquiry learning model assisted by KIT IPA props is in the medium category with an N-Gain of 0,43. 4) There is an effect of structured inquiry learning model assisted by KIT IPA props on the science process skills of students in class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Makassar.
