Penerapan Model Pembelajaran POE2WE Berbantuan PhET untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas VIII SMPN 13 Makassar

Abstract


This study aims to determine: (1) the level of learning outcomes of students in class VIII SMPN 13 Makassar before and after the application of the POE2WE learning model assisted by PhET, (2) the increase in learning outcomes of students in class VIII SMPN 13 Makassar with the application of the POE2WE learning model assisted by PhET, (3) the learning outcomes of students in class VIII SMPN 13 Makassar after the application of the POE2WE learning model assisted by PhET are significantly higher than the learning outcomes before the application of the POE2WE learning model assisted by PhET, (4) there is no difference in the learning outcomes of students in class VIII. C with class VIII.D SMPN 13 Makassar after the application of the POE2WE learning model assisted by PhET. This research is a pre-experimental design with a One Group Pretest-Poststest Design research design. Sampling through purposive sampling technique so that two classes were obtained, namely VIII C and VIII D as experimental classes. The results showed that: (1) the level of pretest learning outcomes was in the low category with an average score of 4.75. While the posttest learning outcomes were in the moderate category with an average score of 8.93, (2) the increase in learning outcomes of students in class VIII SMPN 13 Makassar was in the moderate category with an N-Gain score of 0.41, (3) the learning outcomes of students after the application of the POE2WE learning model assisted by PhET were significantly higher than before the application of the POE2WE learning model assisted by PhET, (4) there was no difference in the learning outcomes of students in class VIII.C with class VIII.D after the application of the POE2WE learning model assisted by PhET.
