Analisis Keterampilan Proses Sains Peserta Didik Kelas VII SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Sinjai pada Materi Suhu dan Kalor

Abstract


This study aims to analyze the Science Process Skills (KPS) of pubic junior high school class VII in Sinjai regency of the temperature and calor materials. The type of research used survey methods. The research instrument consisted of 27 questions on the temperature and calor materials to measure the Science Process Skills (KPS) of public junior high school class VII students in Sinjai regency. The technique of collecting the data from research subjects was carried out through a test containing 27 questions. The data obtained from the students' Science Process Skills (KPS) test results were then analyzed using simple statistical analysis techniques using formulas. The results of this study are the Science Process Skills (KPS) level of class VII students in public junior high schools in Sinjai regency which occupy the very low category of 79%, the low category of 6%. Medium category 3%, high category 12%, and very high category 0%. Whereas for each indicator of Science Process Skills (KPS) it shows that making observations (observations) 37% very low category, classifying (classifying) 48% very low category, predicting (predicting) 52% very low category, measuring 35% very low category, concluding 35% very low category, communicating 41%, interpreting data 41%, formulating hypotheses 41%, and designing experiments 34% all of which fall into the very low category.
